This episode started out promising, but the third act was one of the worst I can remember. A Marge-centric episode is bad enough, but a Marge-centric episode where she's totally out of character? Awful. Rotten.

I love every episode except a few Season 11 and 12 clunkers, and all of Season 14. You're over-generalizing.

It's never funny. And I wouldn't have characterized that scene as having set up a rape.
Homer didn't want sex. He said no, he would rather talk about his feelings, that he has an early day tomorrow.... Marge said "I wasn't asking!!" and Homer looks all scared and the next day he looks like he's been beaten up. Homer was raped, this time not by a panda, but his wife Marge and it's all supposed to be funny. Yeah, men being raped is funny stuff.

why do you people watch? i only read this newsgroup maybe 5 times a year (i have a life) but all i read is the same people over and over saying how bad and unfunny it is. i don't know about you, but when i don't like something, for example music, i don't listen to it. it's really simple. i never understood this mindset of lets waste a half hour to watch a show we used to like but don't anymore, then spend more time whining and complaning for the glory days of the past. next week at 8, just pop in the season 2 dvd and you will be much happier.

I actually DID stop watching for a brief while this season, for those reasons basically, but after seeing good reviews of episodes I decided to give up my foolish pride and watch the show again. However, upon seeing this seasons episodes, I will conclude that while the show isn't as bad as it was during seasons 11-12, it is still a long way from the glory days, and also slightly below the par of last season (which I thought at the time was indicative of a gradual return to form, but I was wrong). I'd say this is the most overrated season ever.
Can anyone tell me what film the music was from when they showed the bar in the aftermath of Marge's trashing? It was familiar, but I just can't place it.
