What is up with awesome '80s and early '90s toons being "reinvented?" Extreme Ghostbusters, X-Men Evolution, that Batman thing...no, no, and no! I guess I should be happy that Disney at least isn't dragging out the corpses of their old classics and making them dance. If Ducktails Max ever comes out, I may have to rethink my views on censorship. =P

Best cartoon ever? That's a really hard question. You'd have the eternal classic Bullwinkle & Friends up against newer stuff like The Tick, The Critic, Darkwing Duck, Ducktails, and of course The Simpsons. Ooh, and Daria. And Animaniacs. And Batman. And Neon Genesis Evangelion. And Duckman.

I don't like raining on parades, but after the "success" of Goof Troop (I sure didn't watch that crap) Disney made an X-treeem show with Huey, Dewey, and Louey chok full of toon 'tude. Jonathon Taylor Thomas voiced them all I think, this was back when people cared about who he was. I'm pretty sure that Donald Duck, Webigail, and even Scrooge made cameos. To a Ducktails fan it was pure pain to endure an episode, I think it was called Xtreme Dux or something with several Xs in it. I'd look it up but I'm trying to block the whole thing out of my memory.

Oh yeah. Has anyone seen the new transformers? Not the "next generation" where the old show has scenes cut with 3-D computer graphics (not beast wars either), but the one with all new robots. That's the biggest pile of slop anyone's ever tried to cash in on. Once they've made new Thundercats, Rescue Rangers, and Dennis the Menace toons; I may have to swear off television.

i have not seen the "new" transformers, but i can imagine how horrible it must be. what made me love the transformers so much is that the good guys actually LOST, they just came out with the first season on DVD. thundercats are another classic as well as ducktails (which i think have the best story line's of all cartoons made during that time and after). to me it seems that the creativity is simply non-existent with these new cartoons and even sitcoms. the last great sitcom is futuarama which is canceled now, before that was Seinfeld/Simpson's. however, in the 80's, sitcom's and cartoons quality was coming out the ass. but was this because I grew up during the 80's, or are 80's sitcoms like cheers, wonder years, and the cosby show, more original, creative, and better quality then today's crap?
