This ep was far too stereotypical.

I really hope the writers did not think that all gay men were like that.

I thought that ep. was SOOOO funny But soem gays are like that, if u r from britain u will know brain from big brother or dale winton

No the episode was meant to make fun of homophobes who think gays are all like that. Homer's Phobia has actually been praised by gay rights activists.

Homer is trying to "cure" Bart by forcing him to stare at a picture of two half-naked women having a pillow fight. He hopes this will make him "manlier." When he gets back, Bart is still a little confused, but he kinda wants a cigarette. Happy that Bart has picked up a "macho" type of habit, Homer readily agrees to get him some, but Bart wants slim cigarettes, because he had been staring at an ad for slim cigarettes, which are generally marketed at women.

Homer's plan backfired. He put Bart in front of an ad featuring women, but he neglected to choose an ad that featured scantily clad women WHILE also being targeted toward a male audience who would choose, one would assume, non-slim/fluffy/fruity cigarettes.
