Tonight's outing was a fantastic start for the GABF series. As far as Jean Era Homer/Marge episodes go, this is one of the best, though not for the actual relationship angle. That could have been made a bit more involving and original. What this episode succeeded in was humor, with no notable flops, and most everything succeeding. Highlights included the musical number, the me-Moe-rial service, the kids in the balloon race and, of course, the Jerkass Homer reference. Moe, Homer and Marge were all in character, completing the greatness. Michael Price strikes gold for the third time, scoring this one a 9/10. (A-)
Mommie Dearest is the autobiography of actress Joan Crawford's adopted daughter, Christina. The book turned movie follows Joan's struggles with the pressures of fame, her affairs with men and alcohol, and her daughter's constant attempts to please her mentally abusive mother.
