Anyone ever considered putting episodes on VCD? I have a ton of masters on beta SP from a local fox station and am looking for a good standalone VCD burner. I have heard that the quality is lacking in VCD world. The betas look incredable, but they take up so much space! I also need to edit out all the commercial black, it's tough to watch 3-4 minutes of black between each set!

how does one go about getting masters from local tv stations? know someone or work there, or did you just ask, or did they stop showing?
if you use a burningp rogram like nero it can burn an mpeg at the VCD standard to a CD so a DVD player reads it as a VCD
so all u need to do is encode it as an mpeg @ the VCD res and framerate
