Whatever Happened to Lisa's Music Teacher?

They've been showing some of the early episodes on my local Fox station this week, and yesterday they had the one where LIsa meets Bleeding Gums Murphy. It reminded me of the fact that we never seem to see the music teacher anymore, although he's in the opening credits every week. Is he still around? He doesn't seem to be used much.

He was in Saddlesore Gallactica a few seasons ago. I believe that is the last time he played a big part in an episode.

he didnt die! The only characters to die were Dr. Marvin Monroe and Bleeding Gums Murphey, and according to Troy McClure, neither of them were popular.

Oh yeah, I guess Maude died too.

And in a way, all of Phil Hartmans characters.

So I guess my orignal thought is contradicted by my last two.

Bea Simmons? Frank Grimes? Sherry Bobbins? Maude Flanders? Superdude?

I've heard that Dr Monroe died. What episode was that?

They never showed him actually getting killed off.... But in "Who Shot Mr. Burns, Pt. 2", Burns is rushed to the "Dr. Marvin Monroe Memorial Hospital". In most instances of memorials, it means the person is dead. I caught this at the time, but it wasn't until the 138th Episode Spectacular that it was made clear.
