Of course "The Sein" is no comparison to the current crop of sitcom candy - but one of my favorites currently and for a long time now has been "Frasier".

As for the newer shows ... I really have to think about this ... I guess I would have to say that the writing on "Becker", "Will and Grace" and "Ellen" is a cut above the rest.

My can't miss shows: 24 (I was hooked by the gimick, now I'm hooked by the plotlines.) Survivor (what can I say, I've become quite the reality TV junkie.) Amazing Race (see above) Football all day Saturdays, Sundays, Monday nights and the occasional Thursday. Seinfeld reruns, almost daily. And I've been watching old Just Shoot Me episodes in syndication. I never watched it in prime time, but I really like what I was missing. And that's about it.

I'm off "Frasier". Once Niles and Daphne hooked up, I basically lost interest. And lately, I've been foregoing watching it at all in favor of "24". But I'll still watch the old Frasiers, like when he had the affair with Kate, the station manager.

I've hated Ellen like poison since the first time I saw her do stand-up. I cheered when her first show was cancelled, I'll cheer again when the current one is gone. And the over-the-top in-your-face homosexuality on "Will and Grace" turns me off. (You know, do whatever the hell you want in your own bedroom but not on my TV, okay? Thanks.) "Becker" I would probably watch but it's up against Monday Night Football, so no chance. And "Friends" has become pure drek since Marcel the monkey left years ago.

Sigh. "Seinfeld" has essentially ruined me for the entire sitcom genre.

Yes! Yes! I just finished watching the third episode, and I'm definitely hooked! In fact, I was hooked just after the first episode. It's quite riveting--I find that I'm all tensed up as I watch. I'm going to have to start taping it and watching it later, though; the long commercial breaks are driving me crazy.

AARRRGGGHHH!!! The Fox station here in Cincinnati pre-empted prime time for the Bearcats basketball game against Wright State (Which was a BLOWOUT, and not worth watching). I therefore missed my 24 and was wondering if you could give me a quick breakdown of the plot parts I missed. I'd really appreciate it and maybe if others read it they'll get hooked on the show too!

Please please please...

Yeah, that kinda' thing always drives me crazy. Luckily, "24" seems to be re-run a lot (alot?).

FOX often airs the episode again on the weekend, and this week it will be shown on Saturday at 8:00pm CST ("check your local listings"). If you have cable or satellite dish, the FX channel also airs "24" on Monday nights. You can catch this week's episode next Monday at 9:00pm CST, and possibly again at 11:00pm CST (second time on Monday may be a different episode).

'Cause they know that this is the type of show where you can miss one episode then decide you can't keep up so you stop watching.
