I never really liked the last two Seasons. Too farcial for my liking. Anyone else agree ?

That seems to be the consensus. Without Larry David the scripts and plots seemed to go too silly.

The stars make the show for me as much as do the scripts, so I'm hopeful of being be able to have and see them ASAP.
My guess now that they waited so long for season 7 and only season 7 is that season 8 will come out in June and then 9 in November of 2007.

It's good to see that Sony didn't short change Seinfeld fans with the extras. The long waiting times for Seinfeld DVDs has been worth it. Compare this with Fox who have screwed M*A*S*H fans over by only including extra features in the special "collectors edition" due out later this year.
Yes, they tried to keep the tone, themes, and plots of the shows consistent with Larry David's structures but they did noticeably lack his touch. The themes became too slapstick instead of focusing on personal relationships and human angst.
But that won't stop me from laughing my ass off.

No, I enjoy seasons 8 and 9. The silliness is a great escape after a crappy day.
