New Kramer show episode 1 soon

Well where is the new show about Kramer? NBC said they wanted to do one, so did kramer

Let's be honest, a show about Kramer would be lame. He's just a supporting character. There's no emotional substance to bond with Kramer. In fact, if they do a show based on the Kramer character, it's a fair bet he won't resember the same Kramer from Seinfeld. Sorta like when Happy Days took Henry Winkler to the forefront with the Fonz. He was definitely not the tough guy from the orignal episodes.

A show based on George....that would work.

I was thinking that...it may work, but chances are it may not...I'd suggest the lather. If the writers, directors, etc. from Seinfeld worked on George (or Costanza, a more memorable title) then it may be good (that is why Frasier is so great, because many of the great writers, directors, etc. from Cheers are working on it)...

We'll never know, since Jerry is still steadfast about refusing to permit any spinoffs involving any of the central or peripheral characters. (The only main performer on the show who was interested was Michael Richards and it's hard to see how his character could have held up week after week without the others to play off of.)

     That's just as well. With one exception, all the main characters had
settled into a pattern that was on the verge of becoming predictable if they'd
been carried on any further. That's one reason the show was put to rest when it
was...to make sure it wouldn't carry on beyond the time it creatively ran out
of gas.
     That one exception I mentioned? Jerry. His own character was subtly
changing but it had more room to grow. Of course, there was no spinoff
possibility there...to develop his own persona further, he'd simply have had to
find a way to sustain a tenth season, and who can blame him for deciding he'd
already done enough? It's always better to walk away a little too soon and
leave people wanting a little more. That way you leave only good memories and
good will, as well as a legacy of good work. He did it like Joe DiMaggio...with
perfect timing.
