Let's take this one scene, with Kramer and Newman in pursuit of the car mechanic:
Kramer doesn't want to lose his money, having to unladen the vehicle of the cargo to catch up with the mechanic. So, he dumps out the cans along the side of the road, like the way workmen drop cones when working on the highway (so he can get them later). He doesn't need to get rid of Newman, in fact the guy can help. Kramer comes up with the idea of once they catch up to the car, then Newman would jump into it to act as an anchor, helping to slow the car down with the extra weight. On a downward slope, the mail truck has more momentum, catches up to the Saab, then Newman jumps into the back (it's a convertible, so the plan works!). They nab the guy, and the police arrive.
Unfortunately, they arrest Kramer and Newman for littering--the cans caused an accident, and one of the witnesses reported seeing the mail truck dump them. Kramer exclaims "You have no proof!" but one officer places his hand down on the floor of the cargo area, and it gets stuck--soda residue all over! Before they get carted off, Kramer insists on getting his golf clubs. He and the officers walk along the road, with Cosmo picking up the clubs while handcuffed, of course stumbling around and dropping everything in that famous style he's known for.
Meanwhile, Newman is sitting in the squad car with the other officer, who's munching on some donuts. Newman says "Say, how 'bout a donut for a guy who's down on his luck?" yet another reference to an old movie (quote by Bogart). The cop looks at him, annoyed, Newman cocks his head smiling meakly, and the guy caves in and gives him one. Newman takes it, then exclaims "What, you have to give me a plain one? C'mon, at least a jelly or Bavarian creme!"
Next we see Kramer with the clubs all picked up, and he's giving golf tips to the cop. He demonstrates how to improve his swing and ends up accidentally smacking the bag of clubs into the head of the officer, who falls to the ground unconscious. Kramer gets that "what me?" look, nervously glacing around, grabs the keys from the cop for the handcuffs, then sneaks off. Cut to Newman in the police car. He's trying to swallow with dry donut stuffed in his mouth, staring at the officer who's now smiling with satisfaction, drinking from a small carton of milk. Newman starts making whining noises, like straight out of the "Got Milk?" campaign!
The bit about the house with the old man and his attractive daughter was funny, but I don't know how to work that in. Oh well...
