Campaign SEINFELD ON DVD

Maybe Seinfeld-fans all over the world should participate such campaign???Especially when I got an e-mail from a man who knows something about Seinfeld on DVD:

There's really no reason for them to offer Seinfeld on DVD, at least from a business point. It's going to go on forever in syndication, so why risk losing all that advertising money by going to DVD? Maybe we'd see it if it were less popular. A friend and I were discussing the recent release of the first season of Sex and the City on DVD. What a great idea. I've never seen the show, but it's really popular, and I'm sure that they're going to milk a good amount from DVD sales. But in five years, who's going to know the show? No one. So releasing it on DVD now is a brilliant move. Seinfeld has a huge cult following as well as people who just tune in for it in its syndication run- its power on tv doesn't really seem to have a fall in its even far future.

I still say though that it would be a good idea and it wouldn't hurt anything for them to release the first two and/or the last seasons. That should calm down the demand somewhat, and it wouldn't hurt the syndication ratings at all.

Ok about the dvd Campaign!

But where should we show this campaign in order to snowball this idea?

I mean this newsgroup is great but do the Officials from Columbia or who ever own the rights do come in this newsgroup?

Unfortunately (for them and for us) i don't think so...

I'm far from bieng a specialist but shouldn't we have a website or sth?

StarWars-fans have won their battle about getting DVD more early. So why cannot Seinfeld-fans win a battle getting Seinfeld on DVD???Yeah..But who is going to create a website that is about Seinfeld on DVD?

I do. It would give me a really good excuse to buy a DVD player... My VCR isn't even stereo!!

Give us Seinfeld or give us... errr, I'm not ready to die for this though. Kill, maybe... would you turn me in if I did? ;-)
