Fans debate whether George's claim about winning a contest is a lie, given his established pattern of dishonesty on the show.
In "The Puffy Shirt" episode, George becomes a hand model...whilst conversing with the hand modeling agency guy, George learns of a great hand model who ruined his career because "he wasn't master of his domain." When the agency head asks George if he has self-control, George replies, "Are you kidding? I won a contest!"

Yes but we only know about the lies we know about. How do you KNOW George hasn't told other lies that we don't know about? What about when he mentions his brother impregnating someone named Pauline, or his cousin's friend being in a bubble? These are throwaway lines that George uses to ingratiate himself with people. Are they lies? They're never brought up again, so who knows? There are LOTS of George statements that are dubious.
