Can anyone remember any good football references in Seinfeld?
Off the top of my head, I remember Jerry ending up at the SuperBowl with Newman, and there was a Giants game that Elaine went to with her boyfriend (I think this was in The Masseuse). Any others? Most sports references seem to be about baseball in the show...

Wasn't there a football reference in the episode where Elaine was dating a guy who had the same name as a serial killer? I thought they were at a NY Giants football game when his name got called out over the intercom. Kramer was going to join them, but got to the Will Call box and forgot his ID, and couldn't convince the guy he looked like a "Kramer".

The name that was shared with a serial killer was Joel Rifkin. Rifkin killed 17 people in New York between March of 1989 and June of 1993. He killed prostitutes and kept their corpses for days. He is currently serving 203 years to life at the Clinton Correctional Facility in New York. It's not surprising that Elaine wanted him to change his name.

Umm, it was with John Lovitt as Jerry's pathetic friend. And Jerry tries to dump him but the friend starts crying and so Jerry is like, don't worry, we are still friends. Then feels bad and invites him to some kind of sports thing and gives away George's ticket?
He later makes an excuse and then give both tickets to the friend and turns out John Lovitt takes either Kramer or Newman with him to the sports event?
Was that basketball? Or maybe it was baseball again?
