O.k., maybe I'm just confused in general, but I've been pondering that Neil Armstrong comment. It seemed to imply that Neil wasn't the first to leave the capsule (i.e., to step on the moon).
Um, if I remember correctly, wasn't it Neil who stepped on the moon, and Buzz Aldrin who was left behind with the Tang?

I was confused about it at first, too. I think the reason is that people associate Neil Armstrong with the moon landing. If George had said the same line, except with "Buzz Aldrin" in place of "Neil Armstrong," very few people would have understood the reference. Nobody remembers who finishes second.
