5/5 Show - What happened?

Hi Andy. You didn't miss much. George goes to a child's party, and when some food starts to flame up, he storms out of the house, knocking over his girlfriend, her mom, and tramples over and through a bunch of children to save himself. Elaine feels that she might get a promotion at work. Kramer's girlfriend is embarrassed by Jerry, who seeks revenge on her after she boo's him at the comedy club he performs at. She runs out of the office (she also works at Pendant Publishing) and her toe gets severed. The "highlight" of the episode is when Kramer is reliving the event to Jerry and George about how he managed to stop an armed man on a bus, and how he drives his girlfriend to the hospital to get the toe sewn back on, while stopping everytime someone pulls down on that cord in the bus. Kramer's girlfriend ends up getting the promotion out of pity. George scares Jerry's audience away when a prop comedian pulls out a fake pistol. Thus ends the story. Wasn't very funny and I haven't had the urge to watch it a second time.

I beg to differ. Just when I was beginning to think the show is getting stale, I saw this episode and fell out of my chair. the water cooler crowd here agrees it was a classic. Kramer yelling "They kept ringing the bell!" was an all-time great moment. Oh well, no accounting for taste.

	The great part was George knocking down the clown and the old lady
in the walker.  I've watched it probably 20 times and still laugh.  Must have
been tricky to orchestrate -- it looks like one long take.  And only George
would then try to defend his actions afterwards!
	I thought this was maybe the best show this season.  The only flaw for
me was the comic pointing his gun at the bartender and shouting "I have a gun."
Was the bartender just playing along?

I agree, it's great to see George and even ELAINE getting into the physical commedy. Remember when everyone was crowding into Elaines office to hear loud-mouths story about her foot, and Elaine was pushed over the papers and fell on her side.

Charlie Chaplin would have been proud. George and Elaine must be taking "lessons" from Kramer.

I'm a bit confused... George tells Jerry that he knocked over his girlfriend, yet if I remember correctly, during the smoke/fire scene, his girlfriend was on the opposite side of the room, and George doesn't touch her. Did I remember incorrectly, or did someone goof?
