Jerry on Regis today (11-1-02)

I happened to be home Friday and saw Jerry's visit to Regis' show. Jerry was in an exceptionally good humor. Naturally they talked about his new movie and the stand-up life style. The segment ended with a Seinfeld Trivia contest between Regis & Jerry- THEY BOTH SUCKED!!!! It's hard to believe that a show that means so much to so many people was like a passing fancy to Jerry. Regis on the other hand has no excuse. He claims to be an all-time Seinfeld fan and is a "top" trivia expert. The only question he got close to being right was about Crazy Joe Devola- or "joe devito, devallam,ah ah ah - Devola!!!! Joe Devola". Highlight of the trivia contest was Jerry declaring himself the OFFICIAL winner of the Master of your Domain based upon George's admission of a lie "in a subsequent episode.". It was a nice segment dispite the lame trivia. Good to see Jerry HAPPY!!!

TVLand is showing some great interviews someday night - Gleason, Jerry, Carol Burnett, and Johnny Carson. Its forcing me to miss Sopranos, but what are you going to do? :-) I'll catch it on Monday night.

It was nice seeing jerry very relaxed and happy. I'll catch Comedian on Monday afternoon, looking forward to it!

Yeah, I kinda' assume all actors are like that. That is, they don't actually watch the shows they star in; they just read their lines, and go home. Jerry's involvement was greater because it was his project and he had more input, but I suspect he probably hasn't actually seen the episodes as many times as we have.

I'm reminded of that classic SNL skit with William Shatner appearing at a Star Trek convention, confronted with incredibly obscure questions about the combination he used on a lock in the episode where... :-)

The reason why Jerry doesn't watch the episodes over and over again (like we do) is because he _created_ them. Having created, he goes on to create other things.

We don't create. We can do nothing else with Jerry's creativity but observe it, catalog it, and discuss it.

Not that's there's anything wrong with that.

Actually George does not say he "lied" he says he "cheated". And I always wonder what he meant by "cheating"; nah, I don't want to think about it

George admitted he cheated in the Final and therefore was admitting to the lie he told in The Hand Model when he told his new employers that he had won a contest! So George cheated and lied.
