Worst episode

Haven't seen this topic introduced in quite some time.... What Seinfeld episode was truly a big disappointment to you and why?

I may be weird, but I liked them all and each for different reasons. Does there have to be a worst? They were all great :)

ACTUALLY i think he was refering to the last episode as being the worst because IT WAS THE LAST EPISODE!!!!!

I thought that the last episode was fantastic up until the point when the plane narrowly escaped crashing. In fact, if it had been a half-hour episode, and finished there, with them going out in a blaze of glory, that might have been better.

Instead of which they took all these funny things which had happened within the Seinfeld universe, and completely demolished our suspension of disbelief by examining them from a real-world perspective, and playing it like a serious documentary. (The news reports were completely, and it seemed deliberately, unfunny.) Not only was this nothing like the Seinfeld we know and love, but for me, anyway, it diminished the comic brilliance of most of the past events that were recalled.

For me, it was a bit like spoiling a good joke by saying, "Well, yes, but what was the duck doing in the bar in the first place, and how did it learn to talk?"

This bashing of the final episode is getting pretty old. It was the end of a 9 year career for these guys. We all look at it from our own points of view, and to us it was just another show, but to the actors and actresses it was a goodbye to a way of life. Who can't tell from that final show that these guys were having fun? They didn't end it in a plane crash after a half hour because they wanted the supporting characters to get their props. I think many people weren't ready to give up watching their fav show every Thurs, so they somehow expected the last show to make up for the years of life ahead without Seinfeld. No show could have done that. And whoever made a slam about Jerry's love life causing a lack of quality... that's just lame. What did you do on your last day of school, or last day living in your home town before a move? You goofed off! The finale was a fun show to say goodbye, and to those of you taking it so literally, your uptightness is causing you to be left out of wonderful moment in TV. Just my .02.

There was one - forgotten what it was called - about George and Kramer trying to pick up Jerry and Elaine from the airport, and then the plane got diverted, and Elaine sat in third class while Jerry went into first and it ended up with George getting stuck in the plane when it flew off or something. I thought it was awful, not funny at all. Anyway, I had just told a friend what a good show it was and the first episode he saw was this one, he hasn't watched it since, despite my reassurances.

Mine too...in fact, "The Airport" was the very first episode of Seinfeld I had ever watched (it was, ironically enough, on an airplane...they showed us Seinfeld instead of a movie.) I still consider it to be a favorite of mine...it's the episode that got me hooked...

I just felt all the jokes were based around insulting people, which I didn't like. But that's just my opinion :-). I'm a big fan now, so it didn't put me off forever thankfully.

Why is it that most (I said MOST) bandwagon Seinfeld fans dislike the final episode but the longtime fans appriciate it? I'm sorry for the blanket generalization. I'm sure that some bandwagon fans liked the last episode and vice versa but the general consensus seems to parallel my question. Rupert.
