It more a documentary of comedians behind the scenes developing their material. It documents Jerry and a rising "star" trying to make it into the big time. I see him as sort of an early Jerry (without the attitide). If you are interested in Jerry and his new (old) career it is interesting. It is not funny in itself. I will not tell you more as there are some surprising moments and some good philosophy about the "stand- up's" life.
I love Jerry's line about his (real) parents. And the musician's quote about "life".
I would recommend it, but only to people in this newsgroup.

As far as I know, it has no UK distributor. Miramax say they have no plans to release it here, although I am in touch with them through a friend in NY, with a view to discussing the situation.
