Everyone talks about how Seinfeld did The Contest without using the word masturbation but there was an earlier ep that season 92-93 where they were pitching the " Jerry" pilot to NBC and George used that word in front of the network execs. What ep was that? By contrast they used ogasm a bazillion times in The Mango, the ep where Elaine told Jerry she had faked all her orgasms with him.

It was used solely to bring out the discomfort of the meeting with the NBC execs- masturbation was not being discussed as a topic. That wasn't the case with "The Contest", in which the entire episode revolved around that particular act. Using the word masturbation in that context would have made the crassness of the subject matter inescapable. It would have served as an uncomfortable reminder that we were, after all, watching a show about masturbation.
Orgasm isn't as easy a word to gloss over, and it's also not as uncomfortable for people to hear. They may also have done this for effect- similar to SNL's Nude Beach sketch. In that sketch, if you recall, the characters said "penis" over and over for the purpose of mocking our discomfort with such subjects. Notice how rarely the word is said on television.
That brings to mind another one- was the word penis used in "The Bris"? Or in any other episode?
I think in The Bris Kramer used the word manhood. I can't remember the word penis being used in any ep but I am pretty sure it was used in one of the eps.

I believe in one episode Jerry said that being with one of his girlfriends was like a game of chess between his brain and his penis. Later in the episode the chess game was played.
