Cutting off the ends of episodes

As we all know, every Seinfeld episode has the story going on right up to the very end of the credits. Our local station often abruptly cuts off the last few seconds to squeeze in a promo for their evening newscast (not even a paid advertisement, for gosh sake).

For example, they cut off the end of the "Bizarro World" episode right before Kevin says "Me so happy!", which is a great in-joke for anyone who's familiar with Bizarro. This is quite annoying, and while I have emailed and phoned the station about this, they continue to do it.

Just wondering if other fans across the country are experiencing the same thing.

I also noticed it in NY, when I visited the city.

Here in Denmark the show is only interrupted once by commercials, if it is on the private station, TV3. The end of the show is not interrupted.

If it's on the public tv, then it's not interrupted at all.

The last time they aired the "A George divided against itself..." episode (several months ago), they cut most of that speech off. They broke in about midway through.. I know it just aired again and I didn't catch it.

Seriously, though, while TBS does trim some stuff within each episode, they at least let the end go all the way up to the Castlerock logo. However, local stations butcher the living hell out of this show, and they don't care.

Let's be honest. TV stations don't pay any attention to viewers' interests. It's all about advertising. I only wish Jerry would've inserted a "no cut" clause into his syndication contract. He, if anyone, might have had the power to make that demand.

TBS trims stuff out of every episode? I didn't know that. That sucks!

I watched "An Officer and A Gentleman" on my local channel twice. And both times the Oscar winning song at the end is over voiced with upcoming crap.
