The first episode of "Bob Patterson" featured:
   --The actor who played Babu Bhatt
   --A Superman reference (Bob called his home "the Fortress of Solitude")**
   --An employee who was suspected of faking a disability to keep her job.

**Prediction: I suspect (gut feeling) that each BP will feature some sort of Star Trek reference. Reportedly, Jason Alexander is a big ST fan; there appeared to be Trek action figures in his bedroom (just as Jerry had his Superman statue). Appropos of nothing, there were two Jimi Hendrix references: a guitar and photo hanging in the bedroom and Hendrix at Woodstock joke.

Well, the pilot was certainly not as good as Seinfeld, but I actually kind of liked it. And let's face it. Bob Patterson is light years ahead of The Michael Richards Show. Brad

Agreed. And *that's* what really bugs me about "Bob Patterson." Off-screen, Jason Alexander certainly seems like a very smart fellow (as does Robert Klein)....so why is this show so run-of-the-mill (read: dumb)? Cartoonish, one-dimensional characters, juvenile plots, an over-reliance on poorly written sex jokes...in other words, just another sitcom. The difference is (I would have thought...or hoped), Jason Alexander shouldn't be running "just another sitcom."

What place in the ratings is Bob Patterson? Does anyone think (as I do) that it will last longer than The Michael Richards Show?

Is it stil even on? Last Tuesday I went to watch it and it wasn't on. They had back to back episodes of Spin City, No Patterson.

bob patterson is now on wednesdays at 9:30, after that drew carrey guy (who sucks).

it isn't doing very well at all. the network had a considerable drop in viewers after drew carrey.

i think the show has potential. the episode two weeks ago was great, imho. the one last week with shatner was pretty bad. hope it gets better.
