Jerry Says He's Jewish: Proof

The episode where Elaine is jealous of George getting married. She goes to the Rabbi to talk about her feelings, who then blabs it to everybody. Elaine complains to Jerry, wondering why he would do this, he being a Rabbi and all.

Jerry says something like, "Ah yes, jewish people. WE are like this and that and blah blah blah..."

Did anyone else spot the fact that he included himself when describing to Elaine how Jewish people are. Maybe he was including Elaine in the "we" as well.

Am I on to something here? Does anyone remember what he actually said?

I don't think Elaine is Jewish. However, your point above is an excellent example of how NO supposedly "solid evidence" put up by the "Elaine is w/o a doubt, 100% definitely not Jewish camp" is actually solid. Again, I think you are wrong, but just because I feel the evidence is stronger in the direction of her not being Jewish. But solid evidence either way? -- nope. And to save the 100 replies, that DOES include the episode where Elaine says "I'm not Jewish."

You are really a fool, you know that? When Elaine says "I'm not Jewish," that is all the proof you need. Now crawl back under your rock, OK?

Elaine is definitely NOT jewish, nor is George; they SAID so in Monk's diner. However, this is as ludicrous as "Martin" and "Cosby" saying that they are not black, or Ned Flanders and Father Dowley saying they aren't Catholic.

He actually says that the rabbi's actions are in no way to reflect on the Jewish population as a whole in their ability to take in a "juicy piece of gossip and keep it to ourselves." So, he does in fact include himself in the "Jewish population." Elaine is never brought into the discussion concerning which religion she practices.

This was long before the balnket "I'm not Jewish" comment from the Frank Costanza cook episode.

Yes, I agree with this, but:

This has been brought up before. A Jewish person can say "I am not of your faith" simply because she may have converted or now rejects Judaism.

But, they are still Jewish, according to modern dictionaries, if they are descended from the ancient peoples of Israel, they are Jewish in that aspect.

All the cast on the Seinfeld Show are Jewish.
