Worst Seinfeld? How about this season's finale!

That last show was the worst possible ending of any season Seinfeld has ever had. It was literally disgusting and distasteful. Since when has George become so scuzzy that he would be happy that Susan died (due too his cheapness) just so he could get out of the wedding? Sure, he was hoping for a plane crash, but when people say things like that they don't mean it. And it wasn't just George either, it took everyone probably a total of 15 seconds to recover from the shock of a truly absurd death. If they were going to break it off that way, why not make it slightly realistic and have Susan get sick from the envelopes and dump George. They could have had a big fight and she could have blown up and left him. They were getting close to fighting just about Kramer and Elaine being in the wedding. At least that way it could have been funny and not sick.

I agree. Distasteful and sick. I'm sure it was just unfortunate timing, but the reference to the plane crash out me off immediately. That is all too real for many in the southeast. Similar circumstances to the Melrose Place episode wwith the bomb after the federal building in OK. I'm not even sure if the show would have been considered funny if it were 'dark humor'. They will have to have another season to rectify this horrid ending. If it is similar to the last show, I'm not interested.

     I'm not going to say it was tasteless. Nor will I say it was
offesnive. What it was, however, was incredibly un-funny. I could not find
a laugh within me during the hospital scene. AFter this episode, it seels
George's fate in my book as a selfish jerk. In fact, I think they're all a
bunch of selfish jerks, but they're usually funny. Last night they
weren't.
     Although Elaine did look quite good last night.
     But other then Elaine's hair, lame episode.

I though Susan's death to be one of the all time funniest scenes on the show, especially the phone call George made to Marissa Tomei.

I did not care for the ending of this season. There was so much that could have been done with Susan and George that would have been great. She should have been able to get George right up to the altar and then throw the wrench in. Next season season would have been hilarious with George trying every which way to get out of his wedding.

I love Seinfeld but having Susan die made it too easy for George. She should have gotten him right up to the altar. That would have been funnier. He got off the hook too easily!

I've mulled it over a lot and I have to agree with you. Even though the characters are exagerations, why make them into monsters?! How can we have any sympathy for George (which given his weak personality, we should have) if he has lost his ability to sympathize? I have a feeling, though, the writers aren't analyzing like we are, just going for the laughs. I can live with that.

Larry David and Jerry Seinfeld are probably laughing at all this commotion.. I wouldn't be at all surprised if this was the reaction they expected, and wanted. Remember the old saying that bad press is better than no press at all. I'm certain that more people will be watching Seinfeld next fall to see how this turns out rather than being apathetic towards the show, as they were earlier this season.

Last night's episode the worst ever? Nah. It was far from the best, but certainly not the worst. Now the Friars Club episode, that didn't make me laugh a bit...
