The show isn't about "nothing." I've been watching for a while, and I think it's about lying and the consequences of lying. It seems like every show either has the whole plot based on lying, or a subplot based on lying. I can't think of a episode that doesn't have a lie in it, and usually no one really gets away with lying. If anyone gets away with it, it'd have to be Kramer.

It seems to be a pretty common sit-com plot style. I always seem to compare the plot styles of sit-coms to Three's Company (the quintessential sit-com). In that show, the plot was either someone lying for personal gain and trying to get away with it; or, (plot style b) someone overhears a conversation and mis-interprets it, causing hilariously funny double-entendres for the rest of the show. Yes, all sit-coms should be more like Three's Company.
