Old Seinfeld Show

I just saw a Really, Really old Seinfeld episode last Sunday night. Kramer was fairly normal(and with flat hair) in this show and George(with wierd haircut) looked really weird and not as psychotic and nuerotic as he usually is. Elaine wasn't even in the show. Also right smack dab in the middle of the show Jerry does some of his standup that was not that funny. Anyone else see this episode. I personally LOVE Seinfeld but i got to say this early one really stunk. Anyone know how old this Episode was??

This episode, if you haven't already figured it out by reading various other posts in this newsgroup, is as old as it gets: It was the original 'pilot' episode.....originally aired 7/5/89.

If you knew anything about Seinfeld, you would know that the only episode JLD wasn't in was the pilot.

Nearly everything in it was stolen by Seinfeld & gang. Shandling's show was much more innovative, as it "broke the fourth wall" (involved the audience) at times. Much funnier than Larry Sanders, too. Yes, "Seinfeld" may have derived some ideas from "It's Garry Shandlings Show", just as Shandling was influenced by Ernie Kovacs and George Burns, both of whom also broke down the fourth wall and involved the audience in witty asides as if behind the other cast member's backs.

Hmmm, let's see what *you* know about Seinfeld. Jerry's obviously been in all of the episodes, but what about George and Kramer?

yes, this was the pilot (i will not rip your spleen out becuse of your naivete--like the previous responder). also note: kramer knocks before entering, kramer owns a dog, jerry is a lot "nicer," george appears to be at least a social eqivalent with jerry...this episode originally aired july 5, 1989.
