Kramer was able to subdue a gunman, take his girlfriend's toe to the emergency room, *and* make the bus's regular stops. His fear of the furniture thieves does not jibe with this, but if you listen to the news you know that people are killed in NYC & elsewhere for much less.

What do you all make of those two characters that stole Elaine's armoire? They don't seem all that militant but Kramer and Jerry were completely terrified of them. And then they were also instrumental in beating Kramer up for not wearing the red ribbon.

I agree. This was unlike Kramer, being so easily intimidated. Especially since he acted like he was just standing there. If these guys came up to me and said "Nice armoire, I think we'll take it" I'd say "Sorry, it's mine and it's not for sale." "Oh, what're you gonna do about it?" "A couple of beefy guys are helping me move it in. Why don't you ask them?" Instead Kramer was "Oh, it belongs to a friend. I was just watching it" with a look of subtle fear. He should've been much more confident. And after all, it was broad daylight... if they muscled it from him, he could've called the cops and tracked them (they were moving VERY slowly afterall). Additionally, it was only one guy who appeared tough. The other was wimpy and effeminate.
