Viewers ask what causes Jerry's "hello" voice and why his girlfriend gets upset about it in the episode.
I've seen this episode a couple of times where Jerry is greeting people with this funny voice, saying "Hellloooooooooooo."
The only thing wrong is that I keep missing the first few minutes of the show and don't understand where he got the voice from and why his girlfriend gets so bent out of shape when he uses it.
If someone could fill me in, I'd be most appreciative. Thank you.

In this episode, Jerry and his friends were talking about how it would be funny if his girlfriend's stomach talked to him while she was asleep. They were laughing about how the stomach would sound, talking through the navel, and that it would say things like "helloooo" and "la la la..." It was an inside joke with the friends and, while in bed with his girlfriend, Jerry started giggling about it. She asked him what was so funny, and he told her. She got offended because she felt they were making fun of her. That's the basic jist of it. Afterwards Jerry is torn about whether or not to stay with her, or break up so that he and his friends could continue doing the voice.

When the girlfriend is asleep, Jerry says it's like her stomach is talking to him. And it's a joke between Jerry, George, Kramer, and, later, Elaine. He then tells his girlfriend why he was laughing in bed and about the talking stomach, so she takes it as a personal joke about her, or that she's fat, etc... I suppose you've seen to that.
