In one of the first few episodes, there was mention of a brother that George had. Anyone know why they dropped it.

Don't know for sure but I guess that George and the others character weren't all figured out yet. They brought in his mom in season four ( The Contest ) and his dad later at the end of the same season ( The handicap spot). By then they most likely assumed that with these two it would be all the family he'd ever need.

It was mentioned on more than one occasion that George had a brother. Elaine also has a sister, Gail who's from St. Louis, and Jerry also has a sister.

WE saw Seinfeld's parents and Uncle Leo. Plus some aunts and cousins. We saw George's parents. We saw Elaine's father and Kramer's mother. I think that's all the relatives that were shown on the series????
