Jerry's standup

When Jerry did standup acts in the show, were these made specially for the show, or were these recorded from real live standup routines?

i saw his show once and recognized some parts. Honestly i must admit that i was a bit dissapointed (maybe i expected to much based on my Seinfeld -the sitcom- mania :). Furthermore i must say that standup isn't a big thing here in the Netherlands. Mabye it's because the audience is more passive. What we do have is so-called "conferences". they are shows of circa 1,5 hours which a have a more serious note (brought with a humorous swing ofcourse).

Don't get me wrong: I love Seinfeld, but I didn't like his standup either. Conferences (the Dutch stand-up) as mentioned by you are a big thing in Holland, and I think are far more intelligent and (more important) even more fun. Compare Hans Teeuwen to Seinfeld, or which stand-up I've ever seen (a lot!) and he blows them all to pieces!...

The acts in the show were filmed specifically for the show but a lot of the jokes are from his real standup act and/or his book, Seinlanguage. Paul H.E. Pennypacker wrote in message news:[email]...
