Larry David's taking credit for that?

I found the finale unimaginative, drawn out and basically very boring. In particular rehashing over the incidents with the witnesses was uninteresting to say the least. If Seinfeld wanted to give them an opportunity to appear they could have done something like show us where they all are now in their lives instead of a stupid long drawn out courtoom scene.

I would have prefered to have seen the show go out on high note with a well written 30 minute episode instead of the obviously deliberate concieved 1 hour special to promote advertising revenue. The show had no surprises no creativity in fact it was formula telivision. Something that Seinfeld hasn't been in the past.

Also, I think they could have had Newman take the stand so he could stick it to Seinfeld. That way what he said earlier would actually make sense.

Clearly the Newman payoff should have been:

When the verdict is announced, Newman, still gobbling handfuls of popcorn, suddenly chokes and quickly keels over. As Jerry is escorted down the aisle out of the courtroom, he looks down at Newman, by now quite dead, and, in the classic intonation, sneers: "Goodbye, Newman."
