Just saw the episode where Newman is introduced, but not seen. He keeps threatening to jump of the roof to get pity from Kramer. It's the episode where Jerry thought he lost $1500 in his laundry bag, and George gets fired, but goes back to work like nothing happened.

Question - I have read that another actor did the voice of Newman in this episode (Newman is never seen), but Wayne Knight redid the voice for the episode before it went to syndication.

Does anyone know who originally played the voice of Newman?

Also curious to note that Newman was not a postman in this episode, just unemployed.
