First seinfeld I saw had Kramer planning to redesign his apartment so it had `levels.` Jerry bet him he wouldn`t do it, and there was a dispute over the bet.

This was my first experience, and Kramer made me nervous... He seemed slightly psychotic, I thought. What an odd programme....

What was the first episode? I thought it was the one in which Jerry and Elaine go to a dinner party, and Jerry admires a female across the table and can't figure out a way to turn his attention from Elaine to this woman. Is that it?
No, the first episode was called "The Seinfeld Chronicles" (a.k.a. Good News Bad News), and it dealt with Jerry meeting a woman on the road who wanted to spend the night with him, Elaine wasn't in the episode, and Kramer's name was Kessler.

No, Elaine wasn't in the first one. The restaurant was different, also. A woman called Jerry and wanted to stay at his place while she was in town. Then Jerry finds out she's engaged.
