Larry David story in New Yorker

There is a seven page article on Larry David in the current (Jan 19) issue of _The New Yorker_. My guess is that the issue will be pulled from the newsstands on Monday the 19th. I plan to read it but haven't yet, so I can't comment on it.

are there any cartoons?

Excellent, and lengthy, interview.

Good story. You certainly pick up on a number of parallels between Larry's life and things that happen on Seinfeld. Here are a few that I noticed:

Larry graduated from the University of Maryland-----that's where Elaine went.

Larry has written a screenplay for a movie called Prognosis Negative.

When things weren't going well with his career Larry was living with his parents and his mother wanted him to take the Civil Service test to become a letter carrier. (Not as good because they specifically talk about it in the story.)

Larry had a job working for a bra wholesaler--George almost got hired as a bra salesman.

Larry and Jerry used to hang out at a coffee shop (article doesn't say if it was Tom's Restaurant).

Larry tells actors how to say their lines--like George in The Pilot.

Well worth reading.
