Jerry's Computer

I have read several posts in which you all say Jerry's computer is a Mac. I don't disagree with this but I swear I saw a Windows 95 box next to the computer in one episode. Am I in bizzaro world or did this actually appear?

Hey guys! I know for a fact that Jerry's computer is not a Mac. I have all of the episodes on tape and when this question arose, I started to examine the tapes. Reviewing the last 2 episodes I thought I saw something that might clear things up.

I had to make a video capture of a scene where you can clearly see the computer. Then I enhanced the image to zoom in on the PC, and guess what I saw?!!!! An "Intel Inside" logo on the lower right hand of the CPU!!!!

I guess this clears this thing up...

George's computer is a powermac 7100. I am fairly certain that Jerry's computer is a powerbook duodock unit. It used to be an original style mac, then it was a PS/1 for a while, now its the duodock. In some recent episodes you can see a Windows box or book on the desk next to it, but this doesnt mean much, as most Powermacs can run windows in emulation at speeds approximating speedy 486 machines. Anyway, thats what i know.

I think that the computer is a Compaq, becuas that is the style that they are.

I just had a lot of time on my hands Saturday afternoon. It was the first time I've been to this newsgroup, though Seinfeld is by far my favorite show. I guess I got carried away. I'm not someone you know. Why do you think I am? When I post, I post, baby!! Whoops, sorry to steal George's "baby" there. Thank you for mistaking me for a female, though. That makes me feel SOOOO good. :)

Funny thing is, I think they do scan this group, because if you watched the 10/31 episode, I think they changed his computer from a Mac to a PC, and they made sure to tell everyone that Elaine and Kramer arent jewish. Two prominent threads recently.

It most definately is a Macintosh. In fact, it seems like over the season he has continually upgraded. At the beginning, it seemed he had a 'Classic' Macintosh (original style). But since he's also had a pizza-box box one (IIsi maybe?) as well as a DuoDock.

All right look: having an Intel Inside sticker doesn't make his computer a PC. You can stick that sticker on anything. Just looking at that computer... it is so OBVIOUS that's it's a Mac. That stupid square looking monitor is the dead giveaway. And if you look closely, you can see a laptop docked inside the shell. That docking idea is an Apple thing. And by the look of the laptop you can tell that it's an Apple laptop too. Apple, Apple, Apple. Argh!

If it's a MAC, whats with the W95 box and the other PC software?

With all the money Seinfeld makes, you'd think he'd get a better PC. A Mac Classic! What's that all about? What does he use it for - a prop?
