Does anyone else feel this way? I have been watching a lot of Seinfeld lately and the final season just doesn't compare with the middle of the Seinfeld reign - season's 3,4,5,6,7 which were all utterly brilliant. The final season really disappoints me and although I still laugh, many of the jokes are lame and writing uncharacteristic of Seinfeld. Episodes such as the Dealership really don't tickle my fancy too much and maybe the Seinfeld production crew were running out of ideas. IMO, the last season is on a par with the first, whilst the middle seaons rate up there with the best viewing anyone will ever see whilst on this planet. If I could draw a graph of funniness and cleverness through the Seinfeld series, it would be somewhat of a bell curve.
Final Season - Crap
Fans debate whether the final season of Seinfeld represents a decline in quality compared to the show's middle seasons, with some defending season nine as strong while others see it as formulaic.

Actually I think the last season was the BEST Seinfeld season. The last season had some of my favorite episodes like: 'The Voice', 'The Slicer', 'The Betrayel', 'The Strike' 'The Reverse Peephole' 'The Bookstore', 'The Frogger', 'The Maid' 'The Puerto Rican Day' and of course 'The Finale'.
Season 8 was also very good but the last season was better also because Elaine looked more beautiful than ever (especially in 'The Maid').

great experiment in comedy but the underlying "boot" and "bathroom" jokes weren't funny
sure, Kramer's been on strike - Festivus is the only saving grace in this episode and we never learned enough about it to seriously continue the tradition
exploding wallet joke was lame, Newman climbing trees was absurd,
humour lamely based on references to past successes- Elaine's dancing - Rusty the horse, - more poor bathroom humour - "rebecca demorney" was a desperate attempt at a laugh with no cleverness,
another "relationship killer" weekend, poor dialogue, only the frogger parody on the street was good but far too predictable, Jerry's irrational fear of New York streets totally out of character
Angela saves the day - and the Harvey Keitel parody was clever (did you get it) - Kramer becoming a wimp was out of character - the plot was otherwise good

Also the relationship between Daren and Kramer was very funny. A great episode.

This episode was great because of the slicer and Elaine trapped inside her own house. Also Jerry dating that doctor and making fun of her saving lives.
I thought this whole thing with FDR was very funny.

One of my favorite episode. The whole situation with 'Denim Vest', George giving away fake presents, the two-faced girlfriend was all very funny.
Joe Mayo was great. Newman visiting Elaine was also very very funny.

Harvey Keitel parody? As in Taxi Driver? Cindy/Angela was great but I loved the whole Koko/T-bone situation. Kruger was once again great in this episode.
That's a joke right? Kramer burning the Puerto Rican flag, Cedric and Bob, George at the movies were all great scenes. Once again Elaine looked great in this episode.
No way! JLD kicked her and every other girls ass in Seinfeld.
