When I first watched the Seinfeld finale, I thought it was OK..it wasn't really good, but it wasn't bad. Luckily, however, I taped it...and it was so much better watching it again. It's funnier and just seems like a more interesting episode than when it was first of (maybe because we were so concerned about the ending that, while watching it, we lost sight of the episode as a whole? I don't know..) For any of you that taped it, watch it again..I'm sure some of you will disagree, but that's the way it goes...
Much better the second time...

The "watch it again" argument that some have used to try and justify the finale violates the one big rule of comedy:
If you have to explain the joke, the joke isn't funny.

And if all you were expecting was a joke, then you missed out, big time. This was really good satire -- the kind you DONT laugh at.

If jokes have to be explained or the innuendos, that means you haven't been watching from the beginning. I don't understand, if it was so bad, why watch it three times. It was classic. You don't have to fall down laughing to be amused, and that's exactly what the finale provided. It was satire of itself and did what it did best by poking fun at observations. The NY four were basically losers and now they are paying for that.
You know how at the end of some episodes, they played a snippet of a song with the Castle Rock lighthouse (e.g. "Mexican Radio")? They should have done that here, with the first line of John Lennon's "Instant Karma." Because that's what Jerry, Elaine, George and Kramer got at the end for what they did to others all these years. Perfect karma!
