After I posted my"Seinfeld Crossovers" One person commented on the appearence of Jerry Seinfeld on "News Radio" and theym added he appeaered as Jerry Seinfeld, star of the show named after him. This is signigent because it was the policy, intentional or otherwise of deneying the reality of every TV show but their own. Now when Michael Richards(Kramer) appeared on "Mad About You" he broke this tradition partially. By apperaing in the manner that he did he upheald the reality of "Mad About You." This happened while Seinfeld was on the air. Now when Jerry Seinfeld appeared on "News Radio", while his own show was still on the air he upheld the reality of"News Radio" while deneying the reality of his own show. And after his show went off the air he did the same thing while guest starring on "Mad About You."

I don't know if Seinfeld was of the air when Jerry appeared in NewsRadio, but I think the NewsRadio episode is from the 1998 season. I could ask around in the NewsRadio newsgroup if you realy wanna sort this out...
There was a cool crossover thing going on when Star Trek introduced the Deep Space Nine Universe: the pilot of DS9 was played synchronous to an The Next Generation episode, and many characters swithed between the two shows. Really cool.

I killfiled that thread after someone mentioned that even though George and Susan were watching "Mad About You" in a Seinfeld episode, that maybe it was a *different* "Mad About You" than the one that exists in our universe.
BTW, has anyone tried reconciling how the owner of the radio station in "NewsRadio" was also a bank manager in "The Invitations"? Or how WNYX's Beth took a job as George's secretary under the name Ada? Or how Jon Lovitz was Fred the mental patient on "NewsRadio" and Gary Fogel, the guy who lied about having cancer on Seinfeld?

LOL, I remember that! It was one of the regulars from the "Friends" newsgroup, if I recall correctly. And he was completely serious about it, too!
Every time I become concerned that we're examining the minutiae of a TV show too closely, someone like that comes along and reassures me that we could be far worse. ;-)
