Elaine and liquor

What's the deal with Elaine and liquor?

I recall her getting drunk in two separate episodes: once is when George (then Jerry) get her drunk on schnaps so that she divulges secrets from the vault (of Jerry and George's girlfriend sleeping together then of her telling that to George) in the India episode. The second episode is where she's at the second Peterman annual party and everyone asks her if she's going to dance then later she tells Jerry how she made out on the table with some colleague (who ended up first "cheating" on her then falling into a heroin addiction...)

Any other instances or mentioning of Elaine and liquor?

The question here is, we all know Kramer has a gambling problem but can we say Elaine has had a drinking problem or would that be far-fetched?

Yeah, I watched 'The Comeback' last night. Season 8, Episode 13. Elaine goes to meet Vincent of 'Vincent Picks' at the video store and he convinces her to bring a bottle of vodka, fireworks and a carton of cigarettes. After his mother shows up, Elaine drops the bag and walks away with the bottle.

I don't think it's far-fetched. Especially since we only really see Kramer's gambling problem in 1 or 2 episodes. I think I remember seeing an early episode...season 4/5-ish where Elaine is in Jerry's apartment and she grabs a beer out of the fridge in the middle of the day. (can beer - looked like bud) I remember thinking "what the hell?" But I could be wrong..could've been a soda or something.

You got a keen eye: and yes what you say makes sense but was it a bud and was that an intentially written-in "daytime drinking"?

Yeah, I'm pretty sure it was intentional. She was angry about something. She downed the can of suds in minutes, smashed the empty against her forehead, and left with some remaining cans on the six pack ring draped over her shoulder. I don't believe Bud paid for the product placement, however, so the label likely simply said "Beer."

At Kramer's party, to celebrate the sale of his stories to J. Peterman, Elaine manages to put away quite a few shots at the bar, motioning the barkeep to keep them coming, while enduring Kramer's fete [from the The Van Buren Boys episode, season 8].

now that you jogged my memory, there's also the scene where she's at a bar flirting with George's first boss to distract him so George can "slip him a mickey"... I think this was before season 3, one of the really early episodes...
