What was your point? That the main characters are all asocial degenerates? Susan has become an intergral part of the scene, and will be missed (if only as the token human being among the group.) I am hoping that this last episode was all a big, fat dream sequence. If not, you have managed to kill what little warmth the main characters have.

Susan's death will be revealed as a dream sequence or fake death in the next season.
Fans are upset that Susan dies in the season finale, feeling the show killed off a character and made George uncharacteristically remorseless, with some hoping it was a dream or fake death.

Do you think that maybe Susan asked the doctor to tell George she was dead so he could feel bad about the cheap invitations, but instead she is faking her death (a la Melrose Place) only to resurface next season? (doubt it!)
I think they really blew it by killing off Susan. Not only was it completely out of character for George to be remorseless and non-guilt ridden (remember just last week he was beside himself for inadvertently breaking up a marriage), but I think they killed off the potential for some great story lines. Imagine the moms of the bride and groom trying to coordinate outfits for the wedding. Or getting involved in the reception menu. The bridal shower alone could have been an hour special, with Elaine brushing up against Susan's mother.
The inevitable end of George and Susan should have been this: they both fall for the same woman, who ultimately chooses for Susan.
