who is Babu?

Please tell me who this Babu guy is. I missed a lot of the first couple seasons. Thanks in advance!

	Babu is a pakistani who runs a pakistani-american food restaurant.
He serves hamburgers and hot dogs!!!!! I guess he was doing ok!
	Anyway Jerry comes by and tells Babu that he should turn his store
into a complete Pakistani store. Babu's store runs out of business, yada
yada yada sent back to Pakistan, and at the end of the show, he vows to
save every rupee and come back to America one day to exact his revenge.
his accent is probably the best I have heard! A very lovable character!

In defense of Jerry, it wasn't that he didn't bother to collect his mail, he was on the road. Kramer was supposed to pick it up, but he was I believe at baseball camp and he dumped the mail pick up job on Elaine. Elaine was the one who screwed up by not going through the mail.

.. and he's in the finale, too; a picture in the latest Newsweek shows him applauding the cast as they do their final hug. Newsweek, on condition that they wouldn't tell the plot, was allowed in to the final taping.

Didn't jerry also persuade babu to open an Italian restaurant? Or am I just a bit confused? He actually got deported because Jerry and the whole mail deal. babu never got his papers to renew his legal allien status.
