Recall Season 1 was only four episodes and Season 2 only 13 episodes. They were combined in the first box and Season 3, being the first full 22-episode season, was in its own box.
I'm assuming here, but common sense would therefore dictate that subsequent releases will be two seasons' worth per release, one season per 4-disc box. I expect subsequent releases of Seasons 4/5, 6/7, and 8/9, each of which will have more episodes than the Season 1-3 release even though covering only two seasons.
Regarding your first question, I have no idea as to their release schedule. Previous posts have suggested every six months. Regardless, I expect at least one release one year after the previous, in the November 2005 timeframe to exploit the Christmas market. An alternate guess is that there will be one release per year in the November 2005 (Seasons 4/5), November 2006 (6/7), and November 2007 (8/9) timeframes. Guess is the key word.

We've received quite a lot of e-mails from our readers asking about Seinfeld. Fans want to know when more DVDs are coming, will Sony continue releasing two box sets at a time, will there be any more special bonus items like the Re-Gift Set had, etc? You should see the details - complete with the street date, price, extras, and other details - no later than mid-March, we're told. Remember: that's the announce date, not the release date! But it's only about three weeks away to find out the details, Seinfeld fans, so hold tight and stay tuned.

This Australian site has Season 4 listed for release on 25th May.
