I wrote a small script that does some calculating using your figures. Whenever they are complete I'll post a link.

Some observations.. One out of four episodes is from the last season. One out of five episodes is from the next to last season. That means the two last seasons together fill up more than 45% of the syndication schedule!

All other seasons at least hitting the 60%-showed rate, only eight out of twentyfour episodes from the sixth season are ever shown! Was the sixth season really that bad? Was that why the seventh season was so different than the others, with its connected episodes, ie. did the writers feel they had to change something?

As I understand it, the syndication schedule is influenced by the original ratings the episodes receieved when first aired. Seinfeld's popularity increased throughout its run; therefore the later episodes had higher ratings, and this is why they appear more frequently in the syndication schedule.

Maybe it means castle rock wants to run the newer episodes because...is this heresy?... the old Seinfelds aren't aging well?

Maybe the young whippersnappers aren't getting the humor of the Movie episode because nobody in the episode has a pager or cell phone. "It's like, duh, call them on the cell and go to the right movie."

And there's an episode where the answering machines actually use tape cassettes to record their messages! So eighties.

I KNEW it!!

Proof positive that some episodes appear over, and over again. This is terrible. Why not start at Chronicles and just let 'em run....then start again?
