How many episodes are there of Seinfeld? And is there anywhere I can get the list of the names of the episodes?

Depends on how you count. There were roughly 170 original air dates for the show over 8+ years' running time (not counting the first-run airing of the pilot in 1989 almost a year before any further episodes were broadcast by NBC). But that includes a number of hour long special episodes (usually aired in February or May sweeps) and the 2 1/2 hour clip show and finale episode on 5/14/98. Cut up the specials and you get 180 half-hour episodes now airing in the syndication run. There would be one more...but the controversial Puerto Rican Day episode was pulled by NBC after its initial run, never rerun, and has yet to be released into syndication. Technically NBC still has one prime time play coming on The Puerto Rican Day, though it says it will never use that play. I don't know if that effectively blocks the episode from syndication or the producers simply decided not to release it because of the controversy surrounding it. It was posted on this very board that PR Day episode was shown in Austrailia/ New Zealand syndication!

Yes, in New Zealand we saw the PR Day episode on a free-to-air channel. Our pay-TV is not quite up to the last season, but I am sure they will also air the episode.

I don't see what the controversy is all about. It's actually a damn funny episode.
