"The Opposite" in "The Seinfeld Chronicles"!

"The Seinfeld Chronicles," the show's pilot, was run in syndication tonight. During the episode, George tries to help Jerry sort out the "signals" he receives from a girl he met in Michigan. At one point, George says: "In these situations, never do what your instinct tells you. Always do the exact opposite." When Jerry asks George if that's what he does, George replies, "I wish." This is the premise of "The Opposite"! It took George 85 more episodes to follow his own advice. I wonder if they got the idea for "The Opposite" from this exchange.

I noticed that too. George took several years to take his own advice and become successful. I was shocked to hear George mention that in the pilot episode.
