Does anyone else find it odd that Elaine insisted it was "Top of the muffin to you" instead of "Top of the muffin to you!" given her love of exclamation points?

I've always felt that putting exclamation points ("exclamation marks" in English) after things you've written is the equivalent of laughing at your own jokes - the emphasis should be apparent from the prose. (And I was surprised at Elaine's lapse in taste.) Andrew Levin wrote in message ...

If you recall, the "Muffin Man" was Elaine's former boss at Pendant Publishing. In the episode about Krammer's Coffee Table book, he criticizes Elaine for her over-use of exclamation points in a book she's editing. She just (tongue in cheek) turned the tables on him in the "Muffin Tops" episode.
