Julia L Dreyfuss is the one person on SEINFELD that could carry a spin-off series the way Kelsey Grammer did with FRASIER as a spin-off of CHEERS.
Patrick Warburton is hilarious and the perfect foil for her.
They were hilarious in the Car Dealership episode.

I agree, she is the only one who could do a spin-off. The character could be developed (she has a job, has boyfriends, has family, has *personality*), and Julia as an actor has the talent to do it as well. I would LOVE an Elaine show. Just love it!
And, for the finale for the Elaine series, Jerry would come back and they'd get married! :) (Yes, I really want them to get married.) I know, marriage in sitcoms suck. I love the way Star Trek Next Generation did it with Picard and Beverely: they didn't show it, just talked about it after it happened and they'd divorced. :)

In any case, I agree that JLD could adequately carry off an "Elaine" spinoff and I agree that she won't do it. It would be a disaster. She has a career in film ahead of her, at least doing Woody Allen type movies and even romantic comedy leads.

Au contraire! I think Puddy is the perfect foil for Elaine. Their relationship is like fire and ice. Elaine hates men, Puddy from his face painting to his high five's to his deadpan style typifies all the things she hates. Yet she is attracted to him. The potential of this relationship is just starting to be realized.
Also, Patrick Warburton's delivery is unique. I can think of no one with his style. That uniqueness is what drew us to SEINFELD in the first place and what would be necessary to continue in a spin-off.
No, it was Picard's actual future (this was the show's final episode). But since he lived part of it prematurely (because Q "allowed" him to), there was always the chance that he could change it.
Anyway, the point was that many viewers wanted Picard and Crusher to become romantically involved. By alluding to it in this way, it in some ways satisfies the viewers' desires without all the mess involved in actually portraying it. The same could be done for Elaine and Jerry.

And Jerry (in the sitcom) is the marrying type. He proposed once. He made a pact with George to get married, he realized what he was going to missing if he didn't. It's just that weird-o Kramer scared him out of it with a bunch of lies about marriage. And, when all of Jerry's deepest emotions came out, he asked Elaine to marry him. (In fact, in the earlier show with Jon Voight, Jerry teasingly asks Elaine to marry him, just checking to see if she can hear him, and when she can't hear him, he says, "OK, oh well" or something similar.)
