Although all the characters in Seinfeld are great, which character do you think put Seinfeld over the top??
I for one, love George's character. He has had some of the funniest lines in television history.
Kramer was also great in adding his off-the-wall antics!!
Jerry was funny because he had a great supporting cast.
Elaine wasn't very funny. I always though she slowed down the show a tad.

Well, they all made the show great, which is why they are universally called the best ensamble ever in television.
All four characters plus Larry David have made this a team that can't be beat, but if I simply *HAD* to choose one character it would be:
*JERRY*!!!!!!!

I think Jerry is the dullest character, its the other three that makes the show great.

I've lately come to appreciate JLD's talents as a physical comedianne. She really does have great timing. But George puts it over the top.
Jerry Seinfeld and Larry David....without their ideas and words, the characters would have nothing to do or say!!!
Even though George is my favorite character I feel that Kramer made the show rise to the top.-Rebecca
And don't forget the subsidiary players like Morty and Estelle and Frank and Jake and Puddy and too many more to mention. Really when I think of ensemble comedy there is no other tv show that comes close to the strength of the characters in Seinfeld.
