"The Finale" observations (long)

Here is a list of the witnesses who testified against the gang in "The Good Samaritan Trial". In parenthesis are the ones who are at fault:

1. Officer Matt Vogel (all)
	cop who arrested gang for not helping fat guy
	video shown of fat guy getting robbed whilst comments being made about him
2. Fat Guy (all)
	says the gang "did nothing"
3. Mabel Chote (Jerry)
	says he stole her marble rye, the last one
4. Marla 'the virgin' Penny (all)
	says the gang did 'The Contest'
5. Wheelchair lady (George / Kramer)
	George parks in the handicapped spot, forcing her to ???
	Kramer bought a used wheelchair and gave it to her... crash!
6. Susan Ross' doctor (George)
	Susan licked poisoned invitation.  Describes George's reaction as
	"restrained jubilation".
7. Sidra Holland (Elaine & Jerry)
	Met both at healthclub in '93.  In sauna, Elaine trips and falls into Sid's
breast.
	Says Jerry wanted to know if 'they were real'.
8. Library Cop (Jerry)
	says Jerry had overdue book for 25 years [I don't remember this episode]
9. some lady (George)
	At her son's b-day party, a fire broke out and George pushes everyone out of
the way
10. Security guard at mall (Jerry)
	Jerry caught peeing in public.  Wanted to avoid "Uromicitisis" (sp?)
11. Puffy shirt lady (Jerry)
	She was a low talker.  [I don't recall what her problem was, since Jerry did
wear it
	on the Tonight Show.]
12. Cockfight guy (who?)
	Who's he blaming and what was that about?
13. Sponges (Elaine)
14. exposed nipple (Elaine)
15. Mr Pitt (Elaine)
	Says she tried to kill him by smothering him w/ a pillow
16. Yev Kassem 'Soup Nazi' (George / Jerry / Elaine)
	???
17. Babu-bot (Jerry / Elaine)
	Jerry convinces him to change restaurant menu to Pakistani.  No one comes.  He
moves
	into Jerry's apartment.  Jerry is responsible to check Babu's mail, which he
didn't,
	and prevents Babu from getting his immigration renewal.  Gets sent back to
Pakistan.

Newsbreak. Geraldo is talking to woman covering trial. Asks which witnesses testimonies resounded most strongly. She lists these: 1. Ross' doctor {see #6} 2. Bubble boy [who did what again?] 3. The Contest 4. defective wheelchair 5. deported Pakistani restauranteur

Did anyone notice that the witnesses didn't really have much against Kramer, who was pretty much only guilty by association. It seems his only problems were witnesses #1 & #2. Can anyone remember if Kramer did anything bad to anyone else besides to the gang?

And if you were the prosecuting D.A., who would you get to testify against the gang, and what did they do wrong to that witness?

What do you predict happens to each of the gang (their future) after the 1 year they spent in prison? What do they go on to do next?

Jerry lent the book to George in Junior High/Middle School gym class. George's gym teacher (who referred to George Costanza as "Can'tstandya") took the book, and later became homeless. The book was in his grocery cart at the time the library cop started to harass Jerry.

"Some Lady" was George's girlfriend. She was a waitress at the comedy club where Jerry was performing.

He wore it because Low Talker asked him to, and not hearing her, Jerry nodded yes. When Kramer told Jerry what he agreed to, Jerry very reluctantly obliged.

Senor Marcelino. He owned a store where Jerry wrote a rubber check. He displayed Jerry's bad check even after Jerry offerred to make amends. He used the store in the overnight hours to host illegal cockfights. Kramer buys a rooster, and names it "Little Jerry Seinfeld". Marcelino wants to buy the rooster, but Kramer/Jerry refuse. Marcelino asks Kramer to ensure "Little Yeddy Eseinfeld" take a dive in the third round, but Kramer refuses.

SN didn't like Elaine because she didn't order soup "properly". Later, she came upon an armoire on the street, but it was stolen by Kramer's two "alternate lifestyle" (not that there's anything wrong with that) "friends" (also seen later in the AIDS ribbon walk and the Puerto Rican Day parade). Kramer mentions to SN, who feels Kramer is his only friend. Not realizing Kramer was referring to Elaine as the victim of the robbery, SN offers his armoire to Kramer, who gives it to Elaine. When Elaine thanks SN for the armoire, realizing it now belongs to Elaine, he explodes with rage. Elaine discovers his soup recipes in an armoire drawer, and threatens to "out" his recipes to the world. SN decides to go out of business as a result.

Actually, he moves into the same building, not Jerry's apartment. His first name is Babu, his last name is Bhat.

Bubble Boy's father (Brian Doyle Murray) runs into Jerry at Monk's coffee shop. He recognizes Jerry as a celebrity and asks Jerry to come upstate to call on his son, who suffers from an immune-deficiency disease which requires he live in a germ-free environment. Hence the gang call him "Bubble Boy". George/Susan invite Jerry/Elaine to Susan's parents' cabin nearby, and all plan to stop at Bubble Boy's house on the way. George drives too fast and Jerry, who doesn't have directions to Bubble Boy's house or the cabin, gets lost. George and Susan arrive at BB's house, and George/BB play Trivial Pursuit. Answer to question posed by George to BB is the "Moors", but card misprint reads "Moops". George insists this is the correct answer, and he and BB get into a physical confrontation. As a result, the local folk all go after Jerry/George for trying to harm BB.

Besides those shown, you could get someone from almost every episode over 9 years. No time for this in a one-hour episode. The list is too numerous.

NBC does not pursue "Jerry". It's dead. They go back to status quo ante - everything as it was prior to NBC calling to air "Jerry". No lesson learned - they resume being oblivious to their indifference to other people. That's a shame.

Just look at some of the witness accusations you cited: -They participated in "The Contest" [book 'em] -George parked in a handicapped spot [uh-oh] -Elaine trips and falls into Sidra's breasts [get the cuffs] -Jerry had overdue book for 25 years [what was it, a $10 dollar book?] -Jerry caught peeing in public. A prosecuting D.A. was suppposed to take these accusations seriously? We, as viewers, are supposed to suspend our belief that much?

The bits were funny when they happened during the series, but to point them out as "crimes" (in the finale) negates the humor from when they were originally presented.
