Tonights episode (06/09/97)?

Tonights episode absolutely sucks. The show was not funny at all. It seems there was a lot of dead air tonite.

I totally agree. When I read the discription on the net it sounded cool but when I saw it I thought "this has got to be the worst episode of Seinfeld ever!" The ONLY funny part of the episode was the begining teaser w/ Kramer. I wonder who wroote that episode. Anyone know? I'd like to hear other fan's feedback about this episode.

As usual I am in the minority, as I really liked last night's episode. True it wasn't the funniest show ever but I found it very enjoyable. Good to see Newman and Uncle Leo back in the picture.

I've said this before and I'll say it agian.  STOP WATCHING SEINFELD.   You

The episode that was on tonight was great. For those who refuse to like Sein anymore may I suggest Diagnosis Murder.

I thought it was pretty good too. Not as great the past five episodes (The Reverse Peephole, The Cartoon, The Strongbox, The Wizard, and The Burning), but it still had a lot of laughs in it.

When are people going to get out of the past. Three seasons ago is just that -3 seasons ago, or 5 seasons ago. Here is something that may help you out. The first time you see or experience something as original as Seinfeld it will never seem as funny again. There may be exceptions, but in general the show will never be as refreshing as it once was. That does not mean the show is bad. The show is competing against itself and that is unfair. Some of the crazy, unpredictable things the show did back then would still not be as funny today. You know, I was a little pissed at first that Jerry took his show of the air when it had at least one more good year left.(compared to what is on TV today) However, after reading some of the comments from so called "classic Seinfeld fans", I agree with Jerry that he should just shut down the show. What sucks is that the people who are going to get screwed are the people that really just love that show. That's a bummer! P.S.-- "The bookstore" was a hilarious episode!!!!! Oh, I forgot it is 1998 not 1994 I guess then it sucked. "It is very unhealthy to expend all ones energy and time for a television show.... Join a gym!"

In case you haven't noticed, they aren't dying a slow and horrible death. They're dying "on top of the world". Every critic who bashed Seinfeld early this season has practically taken back what they said, saying that the show is back to its best. Its not a very good time to be a critic of Seinfeld, especially with the final episode just around the corner.

I'll agree about Newsradio and Ally, because they are some of the best shows right now. Frasier has had its moments, and Friends is still relying on Ross and Rachel to drive their show.

He doesn't write, there are about 15-20 Seinfeld writers (he only writes with Larry David and Larry Charles), he actually is a very good producer, and he doesn't direct, Andy Ackerman does (before that Tom Cherones, and Jason Alexander directed one episode).

Jeez, I wonder what you will do after the last Seinfeld airs, I guess you can join the other newsgroups and complain about them. It's kind of frustrating to watch a great TV series only to come to this newsgroup and see people post nonsense. I liken it to people saying that Michael Jordan should retire, because he not the classic Jordan, i.e. he shoots more jumpshots. IMO, Seinfeld has not lost anything that is noticeable. Shows like Friends, Frazier, and Newsradio could only wish to one day have the impact that Seinfeld does. If those shows are so entertaining, at least more so than Jerry, why don't you spend your time in those newsgroups and come back here to complain after the last episode. I know you won't, none of the anti-Seinfeld posters ever do, instead you guys live each day anticipating Thursday's episode so you can complain about it. Talk about how sad Seinfeld has become, IMO it's sadder that you feel that way and still watch the show. Maybe when the bookstore airs as a re-run, then you will probably enjoy it.

That's because you forgot to turn on your TV. Jeez you must be dumb to stare at a blank screen for half an hour. For those of us who figured out how to use our TV sets, tonight's episode was a blast.
