I think she never intended to stay overnight and sleep with George. It seemed like she wasn't really interested in him.

Why did she go on the trip if she didn't like George? I think she was: a) attracted to either the K-man or Jerry because she took off her top in front of them after she knew George had left to get the tomatos or b) just wanted to go with them so she could spend the day at the pool.

The writers wanted us to believe Karen was as size-obsessed as the men! I wish I could throw in some Jungian analysis to support my case, but I'm just a computer geek.
